Soil information at the GIMS site includes:

• soil layers and soil tabular information that can be downloaded
• tabular information that is preloaded into the Access template
• information ready for immediate download

Where data cannot be directly downloaded, the metadata report gives transfer instructions and contacts for alternative ways to acquire the data. Many other types of spatial data can be accessed here.

Note: The information located at this site may not be as up to date as the official soils data at the Soil Data Mart.

Note: When selecting the soils information to download make sure the layer you select is called “SSURGO Digital Soils Information - ______ County”.
