In 2014, Nature Preserves staff counted approximately 3,300 rooted crowns of the once-assumed extinct running buffalo clover, Trifolium stoloniferum, at Boch Hollow, by far the largest known population in the state.

“Gone Batty” at Boch Hollow State Nature Preserve

Visitors of all ages are invited to visit Boch Hollow State Nature Preserve this Friday, August 8 for a “Gone Batty” nighttime nature program at 8 p.m. Participants will learn about the mythology and truth of these often misunderstood nocturnal creatures, as well as learn how to “listen” for their unique nighttime sounds.
