Educational Leaflet (EL) Series

Educational Leaflets are brief, nontechnical publications on geology topics of popular interest. ELs 1–5 were printed as 8½"-x-11" booklets. Beginning with EL 6, the Survey has printed pamphlet-sized leaflets, which feature full-color photos and illustrations and are periodically updated. Free PDF versions below are formatted for printing in 8½"-x-11" format. ELs ordered from the Geologic Records Center are delivered as folded pamphlets. Single copies are free; orders for multiple copies will include shipping and handling charges.
